We’ve raised €8 million to build Europe’s sovereign AI infrastructure

Today, we’re announcing an €8 million seed round investment in NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, including the latest B300 chips, to accelerate the buildout of TensorX, a sovereign AI inference platform designed for Europe’s AI infrastructure.

The investment marks the next stage in our mission to provide European organisations with AI infrastructure they can trust.

But this story didn’t start with GPUs.

Why sovereign AI matters now

TensorX started with a problem we kept hearing from customers.

Through a portfolio of fintech companies, our founder Shane Morton saw the same challenge come up again and again. Businesses wanted to adopt AI, but they needed certainty that their data would remain under European jurisdiction.

That requirement has become more urgent as concerns around AI sovereignty have intensified. High profile developments such as the Anthropic Fable 5 situation have reinforced how quickly trust assumptions in AI infrastructure can shift, particularly for regulated industries operating in Europe.

For these organisations, data residency is not optional. It is a regulatory requirement and a core component of operational risk management. As AI adoption accelerates, that concern is becoming mainstream.

According to Accenture, 62% of European organisations are now seeking sovereign AI solutions, rising to 76% in banking. Gartner forecasts that by 2030, 75% of European enterprises will move AI workloads to local providers.

The demand is already here, but the infrastructure is still catching up.

Building the infrastructure Europe needs

TensorX provides private AI inference on dedicated NVIDIA infrastructure located in Europe, allowing organisations to deploy advanced open-weight AI models without compromising on data sovereignty.

Nothing is retained, reused, or used to train future models.

Today, our infrastructure operates from Dublin and Helsinki and supports more than 33 open-weight models.

For our customers, that means they can build with AI while maintaining control over where their data lives and how it is processed.

Built for enterprise customers and builders from day one

One of the most exciting things about this milestone is that TensorX is already generating revenue.

Customers across regulated industries are already running workloads on our platform, including large enterprises in finance, healthcare, and legal services, alongside software companies building AI-powered products. Partners such as OpenRouter are also routing developer demand onto sovereign GPU capacity.

Customers already using TensorX include APEX, TradeLocker and Cor Prime.

Most recently, we’ve seen strong inbound demand from Germany, France, Denmark, and the Netherlands, ahead of the EU AI Act, which will intensify compliance requirements for AI systems across regulated sectors.

The shift towards sovereign AI isn’t something we think will happen. It’s already happening.

Our next phase

This investment is the beginning of a much larger infrastructure buildout.

Darius Cubed Ventures has already committed €6.5 million to the latest NVIDIA hardware through Dell, with €1.5 million already delivered and a further €5 million on order.

We’re also in advanced discussions around additional financing to further expand our European footprint, with GPU capacity planned across Ireland, the UK, Germany, France, and the Nordics.

Demand for sovereign AI infrastructure is already outpacing supply across these markets, driven by strong enterprise adoption.

Our goal is simple: build the capacity European organisations need to adopt AI with confidence.

The team making it happen

None of this happens without the people building TensorX every day.

This milestone belongs to the team that has built TensorX from the ground up. In a short period of time, they’ve launched a platform that is already generating revenue, serving customers across Europe, and helping organisations adopt AI without compromising on data sovereignty.

What excites me most about this announcement isn’t the funding itself. It’s what it enables. We’re deploying NVIDIA Blackwell infrastructure, expanding our footprint across Europe, and building the foundations for the next generation of European AI companies.

We’re excited to grow this team to support that ambition.

What we’re building

At its core, TensorX is built around a simple idea.

European companies don’t want to make a political statement about their AI stack. They want to make a practical one. Their data needs to stay in Europe, on infrastructure they can trust, under the laws with which they are required to comply.

We’re proud to be part of the NVIDIA Inception Programme and to work alongside Dell on sourcing the hardware that powers our platform.

What’s next

European AI spending is projected to reach $144.6 billion by 2028, underscoring the scale of what’s being built.

The organisations building that future will need infrastructure they can trust. Our job is to provide it.

To our customers and partners, thank you for trusting us. To Darius Cubed Ventures for backing this vision, thank you for your support. And most importantly, thank you to the TensorX team.

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together so far, and even more excited about what comes next.

We’re only getting started.
